Researchers from various health and social science disciplines can contribute to WIC agencies’ operations, fill knowledge gaps in key program areas, and inform advocacy and policy evaluation efforts. With funding from Healthy Eating Research, the National WIC Association created the Applied Research Framework to help external researchers plan, communicate, execute, and disseminate research related to WIC. This webinar will provide an overview of the framework and new resources to assist in the planning of research to inform policy and practice. Attendees will learn about best practices for implementing applied research projects with presentations by Dr. Christina Chauvenet, Senior Manager of Research and Policy Analysis at National WIC Association and Dr. Devina Wadhera, Program Manager and Evaluator at Arizona Department of Health Services, and will be moderated by Dr. Harry Zhang, Professor, Old Dominion University.
