This webinar will explore current and historical efforts to vaccinate communities of color and indigenous communities to evaluate lessons learned and their applicability to COVID-19 currently. A panel of invited speakers will discuss the following questions:
• Have earlier efforts undertaken to vaccinate communities of color and indigenous communities been successful?
• Were there cultural components that worked (or didn’t work) well?
• Who were and are the trusted sources of information that are respected by communities of color and indigenous communities?
• How do we as a society address the process of vaccination in the context of systemic racism and historical marginalization of indigenous communities and communities of color?
There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the panelists.
