The COVID-19 pandemic called attention to many inequalities for people living with disabilities in emergency preparedness. To address these inequalities, ASTHO, through a CDC funded cooperative agreement, hired and embedded 20 disability and preparedness specialists into health agencies around the country. The specialists focused on improving inclusivity of people living with disabilities in emergency preparedness.
Join this webinar to hear from seven of the disability and preparedness specialists. Specialists from Alaska, Delaware, Guam, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and South Dakota will share lessons learned from successes and challenges they’ve encountered in their positions.
