Breastfeeding Policies, Systems, and Environmental Changes Webinar Series

February 28, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Join the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 1:00-2:30 PM ET, for the third webinar of their 8-part Every Step of the Way through the 1,000 Days series. This webinar will focus on Recommendation 2 of the Continuity of Care in Breastfeeding Support: A Blueprint for Communities, Advancing Continuity of Care through Lactation-Friendly Environments and Breastfeeding Policies, Systems and Environmental (PSE) solutions. This session will discuss a key component of continuity of care in chest/breastfeeding support: the consistent availability of supportive environments.

This session will discuss continuity of care and breastfeeding policies, systems, and lactation-friendly environments within the following stakeholders in the local health system for chest/breastfeeding: Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), workplaces, food pantries, and early care and education settings. Project directors from the Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute (CGBI) will delve into utilizing the Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care (BFCC) 10 Steps framework to build internal Continuity of Care (CoC) in Early Care and Education (ECE) settings. CGBI will also explore external CoC intersections in local communities. You can register by clicking here
