Please join us on May 24 as we release findings from a national poll assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health and substance use crisis in America. The findings address the significant barriers that consumers face—and that will persist—in accessing treatment, as well as their experiences using telehealth during the pandemic. The poll also examines Americans’ preferences and experiences in receiving behavioral health services through primary care doctors.
Panelists will discuss how the poll findings relate to achieving successful integration of mental health and substance use services in primary care. In March, BPC’s Behavioral Health Integration Task Force released policy recommendations that focus on supporting integration through new delivery and payment models, expanding and training the workforce, and promoting the uptake of health technology and telehealth services.
