Promoting Racial Equity in Anti-Hunger Communications Webinar

April 20, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This is the second of four quarterly webinars that the Racial Equity and Hunger National Learning Network will host in 2021. This webinar will help our anti-hunger member organizations understand how to promote racial equity in the external communications to end hunger. This is an extension of our first quarterly webinar that focuses specifically on how to promote racial equity in policy. The way that our policy asks, our advocacy campaigns and our websites are framed to engage in this work matters and should all center racial equity.

If you have not already watched our first quarterly webinar on applying a racial equity lens in anti-hunger policy, please go to racialequityhunger.org under “resources” and “webinars.” Please be sure to also watch our most recent webinar series that helped our members understand how to identify and dismantle white supremacy within their anti-hunger organizations and work, which can be found on our website as well.

After this second webinar, network member organizations will be responsible to meeting regularly during May and June to implement the practices learned in their communications work. Then, a few member organizations will be given the opportunity to share their experiences of what they learned in our 3rd quarterly webinar taking place in July.

For any questions, please email the network co-chair team at raceequityhunger@gmail.com or go to our website at racialequityhunger.org.
