Our speaker, Jo Ann Allen, MSN, IBCLC has over 4 decades of experience in maternal and child health. Jo Ann’s professional experience includes: Research Specialist in UIC College of Nursing on Preterm Labor and H-Hope projects; as well as clinical nursing experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, She received RN certification in Maternal and Neonatal Nursing in 2018. Ms. Allen provides professional presentations on nursing and breastfeeding topics with specific interest in different approaches health care and lay providers can use to promote and support breastfeeding.
