The Connection Between Housing and Health: Measuring Community Impact

September 9, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Where one lives can have enormous and often underappreciated effects on the well-being of individuals and communities. Many major cities in the U.S. are grappling with the availability of affordable housing, a challenge exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and an ongoing eviction crisis. Several hospitals have been investing in housing programs and partnerships, while also taking action to address related social determinants of health such as food availability, education and infrastructure.

How can hospitals and other health organizations best put their resources to use for the good of the communities they serve? How can they be sure that the programs are working? What are the data points and supporting evidence for hospitals to get buy-in from their boards, physicians and communities to pursue these types of programs? Learn more about successful approaches that are driving real outcomes and who gets the most value from programs focused on housing and other social drivers of health from national experts.

This webinar is part of Healthcare of Tomorrow, a virtual event series from U.S. News & World Report for hospital and health system executives and other industry leaders to discuss common priorities, best practices and perspectives on the future of the country’s health system and care delivery.
