This resource is an executive summary of evidence-based best practices and recommendations for promoting healthy nutrition and feeding patterns among children 2 to 8 years of age. This executive summary is intended to serve as a guideline for researchers and practitioners. The practice and recommendations in this summary were developed by a panel of experts convened by Healthy Eating Research. This document presents the panel’s recommendations for how to promote food acceptance and healthy appetites and growth among 2- to 8-year-olds, summarizes the supporting evidence, and identifies implementation considerations.
