The More Options to Develop and Enhance Remote Nutrition in WIC Act (MODERN WIC Act), sponsored by Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Roger Marshall (R-KS), would relax physical presence requirements, allow applicants 90 days to submit relevant health information at certification or recertification, clarify that remote benefit issuance is permissible, and increase annual investments in WIC technologies.
