Ending the Public Health Emergency: Impacts on WIC Families

Since March 2020, providers of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) have modified services to reflect the public health risks posed by COVID-19. Critical waiver authorities – including ongoing telehealth flexibilities – were contingent on the federal Public Health Emergency (PHE) declaration, which the White House announced will expire on May 11. This resource details the impacts of the end of the PHE on WIC and WIC families.
