Minnesota Participant Testimonial 2017
“A WIC coordinator asked a mom for permission to do a hematocrit for a child when one was not due because the child looked pale. The child’s hematocrit was so low that they sent her to the emergency room. The ER physician told the mother that the WIC coordinator probably saved the child’s life by doing the unscheduled hematocrit and sending her to the ER for an immediate transfusion.” — WIC Participant, Minnesota
