The Annual Social and Economic (ASEC) Supplement to the Current Population Survey (CPS)

Data Sampling and Sample Size: ASEC is nationally representative, repeated cross-sectional dataset. Approximately 95,000 households were sampled in 2022.

Dataset Description: The ASEC Supplement provides the usual monthly labor force data, but in addition, provides supplemental data on work experience, income, noncash benefits, and migration.

WIC Measures in Dataset: Measures number of household WIC participation in the past 12 months. Measure is found in the Non-cash Benefits section of the survey.

Years available and frequency of data collection: Data from each year is available online as of 1994 up until 2022.
