Maximizing Efficiency: Streamlining WIC Services to Reach More Children
By National WIC Association
The Wise Investment in our Children Act (WIC Act) includes a provision that would extend infant certification periods to two years, removing duplicative paperwork requirements at a critical moment for the child’s diet patterns. The WIC For Kids Act would build on the progress of this provision by extending child certification periods to two years, reducing administrative processes to assure that WIC maximizes the time spent with families to deliver nutrition education and support.
