Racial/Ethnic Disparities in Dietary Intake of US Children Participating in WIC
This study sought to assess the diet quality and nutrient intake of WIC children of various racial or ethnic backgrounds as the differences are largely still unknown. Results of the study showed that compared to non-Hispanic White children, Hispanic children had diets with better nutrient distribution and lower dietary energy density, whereas non-Hispanic Black children had poorer nutrient intake.
