The effect of the 2009 WIC food package change on childhood obesity varies by gender and inital weight status in Los Angeles County
Using Los Angeles County data from before and after the WIC food package change, they compared growth trajectories and obesity for participating WIC children. They found that the food package changes were associated with a lower risk of obesity, especially for boys.
