NWA Working Group Report on Online Ordering Requirements

Weeks after the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National WIC Association convened a working group comprised of State WIC Agencies, frontline providers, retailers, EBT processors, and other key stakeholders. The NWA Working Group sought to identify the necessary steps to scale up online shopping options in WIC – including technical requirements to build out online ordering platforms, enable online transactions, and accomplish home delivery of WIC foods. This resource has informed ongoing work through USDA projects – including the USDA Task Force on Supplemental Foods Delivery and the USDA Online Ordering Grant administered by the Gretchen Swanson Center for Nutrition.
